Introducing the new “Chief” in the range – the Numzaan boot.
We are pleased to introduce the Numzaan boot - crafted with the Jim Green touch for the highest quality, comfort and formality for any occasion.
Derived from the Zulu word “Numzaan,” meaning “head of a family” or “leader,” we proudly present the Numzaan boot as a distinguished “chieftain” in the Jim Green collection. Inspired by the Baobab boot, it has a traditional feel and features the new vegetable tanned leather , making it Jim Green's most stylish boot yet.
- Material: double layer Vegetable tanned leather (2.2mm full grain leather, lined with 1.6mm calfskin)
- Water Resilience : A double layer of leather contributes to the water-repellent properties of the boot; if properly greased, the shoe is waterproof
- Toe cap: Genuine leather toe cap with integrated kiltie leather for added look and durability.
- Toe, heel and eyelet area: Made from a double layer of 2.2mm thick full grain leather for added durability.
- Heel and toe stiffeners for added durability, support and protection
- Steel shaft between the insole and the sole provides additional support and stability
- Leather lasting board , leather midsole and a Resin outsole for added comfort and durability.
- Heavy duty quick hook and eyelets to secure your feet.
- Construction: Double-seam construction. The leather midsole is attached to the upper with a double-stitched 2.2mm braided nylon cord.
- Resoling: Like all Jim Green boots, the design allows these to be resoled indefinitely
- Last: ASHM – Standard D width
- Size: relatively large. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one.
- Outsole: Jim Green Lug Sole
- Made in South Africa
The Numzaan boot features a double lasted upper (2.2mm lined with 1.2mm thick calf leather) which is then finished off with a genuine toe cap, giving this boot features 5mm of leather on the toes. The heel and toe area is also reinforced with thermoplastic toe pads for additional support. There is also an ankle-high lacing system and a bellows tongue. The unique trim pattern provides less pressure on the laces when the boots need to be tightened a little. The ASHM last allows for a “fashionable” look while still fitting a wider foot. But the good news doesn't end there: we've gone one step further and incorporated a leather lasting board, a leather midsole and a resin outsole (over 8mm of leather in total) that gradually adapts to the shape of your feet. All this is combined with the innovative Frog Grip sole or the Jim Green Lug sole.
